Another great dining experience for our Friday night group of 8. We came into a very busy restaurant at 6:00 pm and were promptly seated in the bar area, which is actually what we prefer.
The service was great, the drinks and beer selection were excellent but it was the pizza that really kicked ass. We had deep dish, thin crust and even a pasta dish thrown in. The margarita pizza was a little plain and a bit bare, but it wasn't enough for me to take away a star.
Our server was flawless in keeping our orders separate and accurate and once again, I goofed by not getting her name.
Their dining room was packed right up until we left so if sitting in the bar isn't your thing, you might want to see about reservations. Great evening! -

We had a Crust pizza delivered to us at Five Cities Brewing, and it was so good! We went with the House Calzone. It arrived hot and fresh. It was densely packed with meat and other toppings and super delicious.
I love that they work so easily with Five Cities Brewing. I definitely recommend! -

I travel to Davenport often for work and I decided to give Crust a try this evening. I was thoroughly impressed with the speed of service and the great meal I had.
I ordered takeout and got a sausage and pepperoni deep dish Chicago style pizza with some zucchini fries as an app. The pizza was HUGE (6 slices total, easily enough for 3-4 people) and full of some delicious Mozzarella cheese and plenty of toppings. After recent traveling to Chicago and sampling some of their stuffed pizza I can honestly say that this was a much better experience.
The crust was perfectly seasoned and had a wonderful buttery crust. The zucchini fries were served piping hot with a side of lemon/chili Aioli which really spiced up the appetizer.
While I can't comment on their other styles of pizza, their deep dish was top notch and if you're looking for a great Chicago style pizza, don't hesitate to stop into Crust! -

I have eaten real margarita pizza on the East Coast And both New Jersey and New York and this particular one completely compares. For those people who think it is too plain, that is what it's supposed to be, simple and well done. San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil, And a crust that is cooked in a fiery hot oven with a slightly charred outer crust. The atmosphere was fine, typical pizza joint, and nice staff .

This review is for a late lunch for two at the bar on a Friday while passing through Iowa on a road trip.
service
James took care of us at the bar. He appears to be the manager and most definitely knows the restaurant. He was just great.
bar
My wife's Cosmo was exceptional. A great rendition. They had Bell's Two Hearted on tap, which at $6 for a big pour was both affordable and generous. Very complete bar, even some interesting wine choices.
food
OK, so it's not wood-fired, but rather gas-fired and they tout the stone oven. We were skeptical, but came away convinced. It's not exactly Napoletana, but it's very very good. Plus, James mentioned we could do a half-and-half, so we got both the Three Pigs and a sausage/pepperoni on the same pie. The side Caesar is fantastic.
details
Restaurant stands alone outside a strip mall, so plenty of super easy parking. The music was just right for afternoon. The place had one other person at the bar plus two or three booths occupied, early afternoon is the time to eat here!
